- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. If desired, toss with olive oil to prevent sticking.
2. Prepare the Pepper Steak:
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced steak and cook until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add a little more oil if needed and sauté the bell peppers, onion, and garlic until they begin to soften, about 3-4 minutes.
- Return the steak to the skillet with the vegetables. Add beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes until the sauce begins to reduce slightly.
- Stir in the cornstarch mixture and continue to cook for an additional 2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
3. Combine and Serve:
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce and combine with the steak and vegetables.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot.
