Amish Baked Custard

Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or individual custard cups.
Mix Custard Base:
2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, hot water, eggs, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
Pour into Dish:
3. Pour the custard mixture into the prepared baking dish or divide evenly among custard cups.
Bake:
4. Place the baking dish or custard cups in a larger pan. Pour hot water into the larger pan to come halfway up the sides of the custard dish.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve:
6. Allow the custard to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy the smooth and creamy texture of Amish Baked Custard!
