RIBEYE STEAK WITH CRISPY ONION STRINGS

Step 1: Prepare the Crispy Onion Strings
Place the onion rings in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Let soak for at least 30 minutes, or up to 1 hour.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat (about 350°F or 175°C).
Remove the onions from the buttermilk and dredge in the flour mixture, coating well.
Fry the onions in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Step 2: Prepare the Ribeye Steaks
Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper.
Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and fresh thyme to the pan.
Cook the steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy (135°F or 57°C for medium-rare).
Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Step 3: Serve
Slice the ribeye steaks and arrange them on plates.
Top with a generous portion of crispy onion strings.
Enjoy with your favorite sides!
